Stop Surfing the Internet and Buy a Wok

I’m not one of those hippie ladies from a nineties sitcom, but my life has been changed by the power of stir fry. Okay, maybe it isn’t fair to say I’m not a hippy, since I have a weekly yoga class and am on a first name basis with my teacher. But I’m also not going to start preaching to the choir about how a glass of cold water and a run will solve your depression (believe me, I’ve tried it.) But I do love stir fry. A very large amount.

I show up at school every day, lunchbox in hand, jar in lunchbox, stir fry in jar. I’m known for eating dark green vegetables cooked until tender doused in soy sauce and accompanied by the most dirt-looking quinoa sold in the Austin area. Lunch time comes around and I sit in a circle of my favorite people, munching on mushrooms and smiling at the combination of my two favorite things: kale and kale. I’m joking. My friends and kale.

Stop surfing the internet and buy a wok.
