Expectations Not to Keep for Freshman Year

ZOE’S PERSONAL CODE OF CONDUCT

Freshman Year

Homework: I will complete as much homework as I possibly can during class, and I will spend at least thirty minutes of my lunch time every day doing homework. On the bus on the way home, I will complete any reading that I have to do. Homework will be done using the pomodoro method, encouraging me to take breaks between assignments, and Overlearning before tests to encourage that the material is 100% recalled during tests.

Bedtime: I will follow a strict bedtime of 9:30 after which only reading or meditating is allowed.

Wake Up: I will wake up at five on swim days and six on non-swim days. On Swim days, I will bring a protein bar and drink a glass of hot water with lemon on my way to practice. Showering is mandatory unless my hair is completely dry when I get out of the water.

Visiting Office Hours: I will visit two classrooms every morning no matter what, unless I have a specific classroom that I must go to to study. I will make a list of question on every homework assignment every night that will be asked in before class the next day.

Planner: Using the planner is absolutely mandatory, due dates and assignments must be entered before the end of the day.

Computer: The AISD issued computer may only be used for school related things, such as research, access to Blend and or other AISD sites, google docs and email, and research sites.

Organization: A folder and or binder must be used for each class, in an organized manner, to hold and demonstrate only things related to that specific class.

Social Life: It is required to partake in some sort of un-school-related social gathering twice a week. I will go to one football game every month.

Volunteering: It is required that two hours of volunteer work must be done each month. These will be recorded in a Google Document titled Volunteer Hours [insert grade and year]

Relaxing Time: Each night, 30 minutes of relaxing time is required. In this time, no school work is permitted. One book must be read for pleasure each month.

Personal Hygiene: Showers must be taken at least every two days. Hands must be washed before and after meals. Deodorant must be worn every single day and hand sanitizer must always be in my backpack. Laundry will be done every week between Friday and Monday.

Exercise: I will exercise at least once every day.
